Glenn Smith Aerial Advertising are licensed to perform Skywriting and Banner-Towing in conjunction with their Aerial Advertising business, if you are looking for information on Banner-Towing then please select the link below to access that page:

Glenn Smith started Skywriting in the year 1996 and the skywriting component of Glenn Smith Aerial Advertising has been growing in strength from year to year. With many hours of skywriting to their credit, the team at Aerial Advertising are one of the most competent skywriters available in Australia to date.

Skywriting draws upon the exceptional acrobatic skill of the pilot. To complicate matters even more, the pilot also needs to be able to think and write upside down & back to front, this is not an easy task when you are flying between 14,000 and 16,000 feet on oxygen with an outside temperature of between  -2 to -10 degrees centigrade.

The amount of letters able to be written during any one session of skywriting is about 12 depending on the message and style required. Upper-case etters are approximately 200 Metres high and are only available in white because the special environmentally friendly, water soluble product used for skywriting cannot be tarnished by the use of coloured dyes.

Skywriting is generally available all year round as it is highly dependant on the current, local weather conditions and predominantly blue skies. An alternative to skywriting is Banner Towing.
